Hello and welcome to P.H.A.T Girl Diaries or PGD for short!!!! It’s been a good while since I last posted in here.
Today at church, my Pastor was preaching a timely and super-fire message. By the end of service, I knew it was time to get back into blogging again. So, what is P.H.A.T Girl Diaries all about?
PGD is basically a space for me to share my thoughts – good and bad, about my ongoing weight loss journey. I’ve been on this journey for well over 5 years and to be honest, I haven’t shed as much weight as I’d have liked. I’ve decided that I can’t give up and need to keep going. I’ll do my best to post regularly sharing any tips and tricks I learn as I progress on my journey.
First things first, I’ve decided to redefine what P.H.A.T actually stand for:
Personality – No matter my size, I will always remember to be myself and never hold back who I am.
Heart – This is where my superpower Emmapathy comes in. It means placing myself in the shoes of others and feeling what they feel on an emotional level.
Attitude – Maintaining a positive attitude that comes from within.
Transform – Growing emotionally, physically and spiritually; Getting to grips with my emotions and learning how to channel them in a healthy way. Physically – transforming to become healthier and tapping into who God has defined me to be.
Right now my husband and I are entering the 2nd week of a 30 day prayer and fasting session with our church and let me tell you – the struggle is real!!!! But as our Pastor said today: “How can God trust us with nations if we cannot resist a doughnut for 21 days?” Although doughnuts aren’t my an area of weakness, I get the idea behind the saying.
I’m looking forward to God stretching me in this season and sharing that journey with you all.
Song-spiration: It’s a New Season – Israel Houghton
It’s a new season it’s a new day
A fresh anointing is flowing my way
It’s a season of power and prosperity
It’s a new season coming to me
